If you got a good horse and a good dog, that’s all you can ask for. When you partner with these animals for your work, you are trusting them with your life many times over and over and they trust you. Sometimes they sense things before you do, not always lol. Sometimes they motivate you to keep going, knowing they ain’t gonna quit on ya and can get you through rough terrain, many miles and long days.

Looking for a guide and wrangler for a neighbouring outfit. Work starts ASAP until beginning of Oct. Also looking for a driver to give someone a lift on the Cassiar hwy if anyone is in the area. 🌎 Northern Nomad is brewing up some international partnerships and is inviting you along🍃 although the North is my home and first love- True North Strong and Free. I can’t wait to explore other corners of our world.
Travelling has always been a love of mine. Between the languages, the learning, the food and music- there’s just so much to take in. Recently I have been in the planning process with various partners around the world to create something magical. Something that still has the grounded Northern Nomad vibe, yet experiencing something different and unknown.
Each trip will be different, built around the place and the people who live there. I’ll be working with local operators and trusted partners I know, so we can experience more than just the tourist version of a destination.
Think yoga, hiking, horses, local culture, good food, music, adventure — and plenty of room for whatever makes that particular place special.
Some will be rugged. Some will be a little more comfortable.
Every one will have that Northern Nomad spirit — connection, adventure, good people and getting off the beaten path.
I’ve spent years travelling, exploring and building relationships with people I trust. Now I want to bring those connections into Northern Nomad. This type of relationship building takes years and now I comfortable to open those doors.
I wanted to put this out there now, just so people can start preparing a budget for a future trip!

Summer when we take off and winterland when we land. It’s pretty amazing to go from one extreme to the next and then back again. This plane has wheels and skis, making it super versatile and gets us where we need to go. 2027 Glacier Flow is filling up and we have some special additions to the trip making it that much more epic. The days are closing in on us now💫. We start with endless daylight but definitely noticing that fall feeling creeping in now🍃. Good thing for good horses 🐴.
Trail cutting can feel like ground hog day- the job is never finished🪓⛏️.

“If you spend all your time worrying about the bees, you’ll never get a chance to taste the honey”- thanks Dolly for the words of wisdom. Sidequest trail cut through the burn to an old/new cabin on a big lake full of fish. Probably had emails to answer but this seemed more important.
Yesterday I came across this big washout, I was thinking of the power of the water coming through🌊. Love travelling through different landscapes, feels like different times🕰️. Shoutout to Gordie Tentrees for turning me onto Fred Eaglesmith, keeping me company on the trail 🪶🗻🌞
