The LHSS is proud to name Henry Hooper the player of the month for May 2026! Henry has been a committed and hard working LHSS player for the last 4 years and we have seen his dedication pay off on and off the ice. Henry is a lead by example player and shows up ready to learn, listen and have fun at every session. We can always count on Henry to be willing to make mistakes to challenge himself with new skills. Our LHSS family supports each other in all areas of life, from athletics to academics and real-world innovation. Right now, two of our own—Isaac Frost and Sadie Harris (Coach Lee’s daughter!)—are taking that spirit to the next level.

They’ve created an invention called Mess Monsters and will be presenting/competing at the Nationals Competition this June!

The LHSS adult class has been taking off and we wanted to share a testimonial sent to us from Tim Keating. “I think my story is pretty common in central Ohio hockey. I started playing at 38 after my oldest got involved in travel hockey. The LHSS spring camp and New Year’s camp quickly became two of his favorite events each year, so when I saw LHSS was offering adult sessions, it definitely caught my attention.
I’ve learned more in just a few sessions than I did in two years of trying to figure things out on my own (including learning what an “outside edge” actually is). David is an absolute joy to work with—he does a great job tailoring each drill to the individual skill level of everyone on the ice.
There are moments mid CAHL game where I’ll do something new and immediately think, “That’s exactly what David was talking about.” That alone says it all.
