The world lost a walleye fishing legend yesterday in Greg Horoky. My final words to Greg would be to thank him, thank him for believing in me when so many wouldn’t. For giving me a chance to show everyone who doubted me that I deserve and earned a seat at the table. Thank you for your kind words of advice, knowledge , and fishing wisdom. I hope heaven is filled with hawg walleye and perfect golf conditions. 🍻

Tis the season to pull OR12 Planer boards for musky !

It’s been a minute since I’ve done a musky trip! With a the help of a few local fishermen and one dynamite guide ,I was pointed in the right direction and got the job done ✅ 2/3 on the afternoon!

Some big-guns, including this 10lber, hit the deck yesterday with my clients from the US. Marking big fish running 20+ mph has been a game changer for me as I am able to eliminate dead or small fish waters. Once on top of the school, it’s just a matter of dialling in on their diet.

Many of these bigger fish seem to be finishing up their post spawn crunch and are entering summer trends, full of perch and other bait fish when you roll over top of them. Subtle smaller crankbaits seemed to be just the right presentation to keep these fish chewing , while they definitely hesitated to chomp on the conventional spring body baits commonly run.

planer boards are the best at putting multiple lines and lures in front of the fish to get you in the bite zone. As vegetation growth increases , tattle flags are key to not only seeing bites but also indicating a fouled lure. Adjusting your tattle flags on the fly to the speed, lure, and sensitivity of the water your fishing maximizes, your chances at landing these hogs.
