The weather definitely impacted turnout, but it was still a great night making sure anyone riding their bike to Fireworks could freely park their bike safely and securely.
Thanks to our partners Bike Windsor Essex including Lori Newton and Darren, well as Ken Acton and Leilanie Logronio for help in delivering this service and helping to promote active transportation in our community.

We are excited to once again partner with Bike Windsor Essex to offer a FREE, SAFE & SECURE Bike Parking service for tonight's Ford Fireworks.
We will set up in Charles Clark Square, the service will be offered from 6-11.

Looking for a fun way to beat the traffic?
The City of Windsor - Municipal Government Bicycling Committee in partnership with Bike Windsor Essex is proud to once again be offering a free Bike Parking service to anyone who rides their bike downtown to view this incredible display.
We will be set up in Charles Clark Square. Cyclists will be able to secure their bikes within the bike corral space which will be actively monitored from 6-11 pm.

YOU'RE INVITED!!
Please join us on May 20th for Bike to Work Day-Ride and Engage event, hosted in partnership by the Windsor Bicycling Committee and Bike Windsor Essex.
Starting from the Bike Kitchen (located at 628 Monmouth Rd.) and leaving at 7:00 AM we'll ride to the Ambassador Bridge, where we will pick up some additional riders and then onto Jackson Park.
We will have Vision Boards set up for riders to give us feedback as to how we can make City of Windsor - Municipal Government a better community to cycle commute. All of this feedback will be brought to our Committee and ultimately back to Windsor City Council in an open Council meeting.

Our Committee has some great initiatives underway. Last night we took a step toward making one of those objectives a reality...let's just say we're working toward putting the whole (Windsor-Essex) cycling world in the palm of your hand!
Big thanks to Doug Sartori and his team at Parallel 42 Systems for his work on this project. Through Border City Data they organized a virtual Tech Meet-up event where programmers started turning their minds to making something excellent happen...more to come soon...
