The Chief Bet has officially been paid in full! ππ
Today, The Windsor Police Service rolled up to Station 1 with their (very) dirty vehicles, ready to make good on the wager from this yearβs Battle of the Badges. What followed was more than just a car wash β it was a great morning filled with laughs, teamwork, soup, and some awesome camaraderie between departments.
Both Chief Waffle and Chief Crowley spoke about the strong sense of community and collaboration that continues to grow between departments. Events like this go far beyond the game β theyβre raising funds for cancer research, creating awareness and setting the tone for a stronger, more connected community.
This is what itβs all about. π

In case you didnβt hearβ¦ π¨π
Police took home the win at this yearβs Battle of the Badges π
But in the big picture, local cancer research won.
Because of this incredible community, we raised $106,000 β and with $70,000 in matching funds from the Cancer Research Society, that impact grows even bigger.
An epic night for Windsor-Essex.
Best-on-best hockey.
A packed building of 4100 fans.
And a community united behind something much bigger than the scoreboard.
Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, donated and showed up.
Lots more pictures to comeβ¦ πΈ
