Let’s talk about the skins microbiome.

The skin’s microbiome is a diverse ecosystem of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and viruses, that live on the skin’s surface. These organisms play a crucial role in protecting the skin from harmful pathogens, maintaining a healthy skin barrier, and supporting overall skin health. A balanced microbiome is essential for hydrated, resilient, and glowing skin.

Signs of a compromised microbiome can include:
• Increased sensitivity: Redness, stinging, or irritation from products that previously caused no reaction.

Here’s how to do it:

1️⃣ Start with Clean Skin: Cleanse your face and apply your favorite facial oil or serum to allow the tool to glide smoothly. We love to use Eufora’s Beautifying Serum.

2️⃣ Choose Your Tool: Use a Gua Sha stone, preferably made of jade or rose quartz or your SkinBuddy.

3️⃣ Gentle Strokes: Start at your neck and work your way up. Use gentle pressure, holding the stone at a 15-degree angle against your skin.

4️⃣ Lift & Sculpt: Move the stone outward, towards your jawline, cheeks, and forehead. Always stroke in an upward motion to lift and tone!

5️⃣ Repeat: Each stroke should be repeated 3-5 times on each section of your face.

6️⃣ Relax & Glow: Breathe deeply and enjoy the soothing sensation. Over time, Gua Sha can help with lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness, and give your skin a natural glow! 💆‍♀️

What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skincare treatment that involves using fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin’s surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, triggering the production of collagen and elastin—two essential proteins that keep your skin firm, smooth, and youthful.

A typical (we use the best!) microneedling session lasts about 45-60 minutes. Your skin will be cleansed and numbed to minimize discomfort.
