Jeff was drafted 9th overall and played 1,071 games in the NHL.

This interactive zoom event will be hosted by NHL Team and Player Conditioning Consultant Jeff Compton.

Ritchie was drafted in the 7th round (165th overall) by the Hartford Whalers in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, from the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He played over 300 NHL games.

We are very excited to have 3 Time NHL All Star Bernie Nicholls joining the Academy for this week’s Road to the NHL webinar.

During the interactive webinar, students will hear first-hand about his journey, and have an opportunity to ask Bernie questions about how they too can become a hockey star.

Sunday’s Weekly ‘Road to the NHL’ Webinar will feature Calgary Flames NHL Scout, Darren Kruger. Academy students will find out what scouts look for when choosing players, and be able to ask questions.

Tomorrow’s Hockey Mindset class will feature Arizona Coyotes (NHL) Scout, Kevin Pedersen.

Students will learn firsthand what Kevin looks for in Hockey Players; and have the opportunity to ask him questions on what it takes to make it big.

5’7” Goalie, Fred Brathwaite, with 250+ NHL games and 15 NHL shutouts speaks to Mindset Academy students about his road to the NHL; and the adversity he faced and how he did so.
