While tryouts can sometimes feel intimidating, we believe they are an important part of every young player’s development. They provide an opportunity for players to:
* Learn how to perform under pressure.
* Challenge themselves outside of their comfort zone.
* Develop resilience by handling both success and disappointment.
* Experience a competitive environment similar to what they will encounter throughout their soccer journey.
* Demonstrate not only their technical ability, but also their work ethic, attitude, coachability, and character.
* Set goals and gain a better understanding of the areas they need to improve.
At RDT, we want our players to embrace challenges rather than avoid them. Whether a player is selected this season or not, the evaluation experience itself is valuable and helps prepare them for future opportunities both in soccer and in life.
