What is Sanctoral Cycle? Literally, it is the liturgical cycle of feast days in honor of the saints. It is also the name of CMU's student run bike hub.

Sanctoral Cycle is a worker run bike hub and is a space for students and all cyclists to learn to build and maintain their bicycle. The hub can be most easily accessed through furthest north west entrance on the north campus near the CMU Farm.

What is a welders favourite music to listen to?

Heavy metal!

For the past couple weeks the mechanics at Sanctoral having been helping CMU build a bicycle to haul compost around campus. We have been loving the opportunity to learn new skills such as welding and sawing metal frames!

Keep an eye out on campus for the new tricycle-compost hauler scooting around...

We welcome winter with open arms, freshly tuned bikes, and warm smiles.

We also welcome new faces such as Tai (a fellow bike enthusiast) and Kenton (a small scale farmer and prof).

And as always, we welcome timely jokes:

What do you call a vampire crossed with a snowman?
Frostbite.

Have you ever wondered why there is a nun riding a bike as Sanctoral Cycle’s logo? This image is Madonna del Ghisallo, the patron saint of cycling. As her shrine provides a place of rest on a well-used bike route in Italy, so we hope our humble hub can be a place of rest, repair, and rejuvenation for all who come. All are welcome; from the avid cyclist to the brave beginner. Drop by the shop Friday afternoons 1-3 pm for more info!

What do you call an artist who sculpts with bicycle parts?
Cyclangelo!

If you want to learn how to become a bike artist (or have questions on how to fix bikes), Kari and Miriam will be outside on North campus from 12-3 on Fridays to help you!! Bring your bike and we can fix it together.

If you want a tune up or maintenance done on your bike, we can do that too! Message us for more details.

Happy Cycling!
