While some may view it as a way to promote violence, it is quite the contrarary, as Karate is a martial art that trains the practitioner to be peaceful and respectful in all aspects of life. True Karate is based on the the principles of bushido -the way of the samurai- where the body, mind and spirit must be developed simultaneously as one.
