Havok: World of Vaithan

As we approach our next weekend game let us finish catching you up on where our adventurers last found themselves:

The group arrived at their first town within the Nightlands, Frost Crypt. The town also bares the unfortunate distinction of being the latest victims of children going missing. The mayor of the town welcomes them and directs them to parents who might hold some clues to aid in their search as well as provides them valuable information and clues about all the disappearances across the country.

However, a planned ritual to scry for the children goes terribly wrong; some information is gathered but a massive magical discharge leaves one party member with a hand damaged beyond repair and rips in the veil that rift walkers pour from. Before safety can be declared though, another hard lesson is learned. The group had been warned loud noises may draw dangerous spirits...and not all had listened to this warning.

Wraiths swarm and several party members barely make it out with their lives; one even having to be soul drawn back from the very precipice of death. Injured, worried and with tensions high they continue to search for clues the next day; it is discovered that the children are going missing at the full moon and which two towns might be next.

All seeming clear, a plan in mind, the ritual is tried one last time to see where the children might be and if they are alive. Success this time, they are alive but...being kept in a suspended state. More questions then answers it seemed; even more so when less then an hour after the ritual a vision that has been haunting many, plagues two members of the party, and an earthquake rocks the region on the heels of it.

What could this mean? No, time to dwell, the next full moon rises this weekend...

Our Story continues.....

The party find's themselves finally clear of the cursed Mists. They have survived the horrors that the Valley of deception bore to them and find themselves experiencing the first taste of the Nightlands.

A great forest lies between them and their first stop. Their liaison from the Queen tells them though dangerous if they move swiftly and keep to the path, they should be safe; the mysterious nightlands elf they encountered in the mist, who now travels with them, assuring the same.

Plans are never so simple though...the group finds the woods hostile and unusually ill with the sickness of beasts and rips in the veil. Gygax trying to sn**ch party members to devour them and wraiths assaulted their journey through the forest at each turn. On the path they countered a woman also hired by the Queen to find the lost children; her companion, an awakened, was ripped apart and she asks the group to help gather him back up before he is lost for good.

Unfortunately the constant attacks were the downfall, no moments rest to restore him given, and her companion was never able to be saved...but the parting gift of the information he gathered is granted to the group. The first clues to the missing children as the finally clear the woods and find themselves facing Frost Crypt...

Our Season has begun! Our brave adventuring party found themselves called to the Nightlands at behest of the Queen to solve a mystery plaguing her country...but to enter the Nightlands, the must quest through the Valley of Deception.

The mist haunted the party with their greatest fears and regrets as monsters and the un-dead assaulted them and the lines of what was real and what was fake blurred dangerously. The final leg of their journey culminating in a mystery journal found and a Necromancer laying siege to them!

Battered and bruised mentally and physically the party now finally limps out of the Valley, to a journey that has just begun....

We are so proud of our player base! They've come together like true champions to tackle the massive task to both fund and build our large Tavern expansion, not only making the tavern bigger and better but adding on a full dedicated kitchen as well! Here is some more progress of all their hard work! Roofing gets delivered this week and lighting! Once that is done, the fun part beings DECOR!

In addition, they've also cut back and leveled out tons more field to play in, and for our massive tent city that goes up during weekend games; and began work on the the battle arena and freshening up other buildings too.

Why so much pre-season work this year? Why did you decided to dedicate so much time to making a bigger tavern? Well, we can happily say that Havok has tripled in size in the past year alone! Right now we have 44 registered active players, with a handful of new players already waiting to go and several past players planning to return soon. We expect Havok to easily surpass 50 players per-game by the end of 2019. THAT'S CRAZY!

We apologize again to those looking to join and awaiting replies; right now as we move fast towards start of season I (Kate, hello!) your social medial spirit, am the only one round these parts! The WM team who handle all new player requests and messages on these pages, as mentioned before, are currently busy busy busy writing away on the updated rule book and the new seasons plot! It takes a LOOOTTT of work to plan a fully immersive game that's enjoyable for all 40+ players!

After June 1st we will be re-launching this page, as well as exciting new social media spaces; and we can happily say we will be at both FanQuest and Ai-Kon promoting! so if you want to check us out and talk in person that is an amazing time to do it!
