Not the easiest job I've tackle, but certainly one of the most challenging. Believe it or not, there's a lot going on here, but it sure doesn't look like it. Adding a 3/4" lift changes some of the dimension and geometry of the skate and how it was built, so you have to find small compromises along the way to try and make up for the deficiencies created. I started out with a solid 3/4" piece, but it was far to ridged, and it was going to distort the boot far more than I thought was acceptable. I ended up using 3, 1/4" pieces because I could heat them and bend them slightly to fit the boot better. Sanding, grinding, cutting, heating, and bending all played a part in the end product.
One of the hardest parts was finally mounting it and trying to get the original holes to line up as there's now new material between the holder and skate boot, but a couple of calculated guess's worked out and I was able to place the rivets in the original holes on the skate boot, and best yet, the blade is straight!
Lots of work, but very satisfy, and I hope the customer is happy 😊
