Happy Pollinator Week Day 4! We often associate butterflies with flowers. But for much of their lives, butterflies depend on leaves, grasses and other materials. The Little wood satyr doesn't need to visit flowers ever. As a larva, the Little wood satyr feeds on grasses, and in its adult stage it gets its energy from plant sap and aphid honeydew.
