Saint Boniface Spring Cleanup **SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE**

We would like to invite you all to take part in the Saint Boniface Spring Cleanup for Earth Day Weekend 2022! There are 3 dates to participate:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for hall bookings, providing administrative and clerical support services in order to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Centre and Arena. SCOPE The Administrative Assistant reports to the Exec Director and is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services. Providing these services will ensure that operations are maintained in an efficient and effective manner. POSITION OVERVIEW Part time position - no benefits - 12-15 hours per week during ice season (Aug-April) Monday -Wednesday – Friday workdays – the hours are typically from 10am - 2pm but can be sometimes flexible depending on bookings. Arena off season hours could be reduced to 10-12hrs Salary range $14.50 – 15.50hr RESPONSIBILITIES  Oversee the Community Centre hall booking inquiries – prepare event invoicing & collection as well coordinate event setup details with staff  Assist board of directors with programming registration forms, contact list information bulletins  Type correspondence, reports and other documents  Maintain office files (Invoicing, Scheduling)  Coordinate repairs to office equipment  When in the office, answer the telephone and retrieve phone messages.  Maintain records and files  Prepare documents and reports on the computer  Direct calls and respond to inquiries  Perform other assigned duties as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge  Knowledge of office administration procedures  Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy confidentiality concerning the Centre’s files
Qualifications and Skills  Grade 12 or equivalent  Bilingual French / English  Excellent interpersonal skills  Effective written communication skills  Very effective organisational skills  Time management skills  Effective verbal and listening skills  Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheet and word processing programs – familiar with Outlook email – knowledge with use of Google calendar  Ability to work alone onsite to maintain the public washroom access/skate lobby open in daytime Personal Attributes  Be honest and trustworthy  Be respectful  Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity  Possess good Inter- personal skills to interact with various ethnic users  Be flexible  Demonstrate sound work ethics

Following the city's recommendation, Notre Dame Recreation Centre will be closed to the public effective Monday, March 16th 2020 until further notice.
We will closely monitor the situation and reopen when it is recommended to do so.

Public skating on March 15th is CANCELLED.

Effective Monday, March 16, all City-owned and operated recreation centres, pools, and libraries will be closed to the public until further notice.

Leisure Guide programming will also be cancelled effective March 16 until further notice.

The 2020 Spring/Summer Leisure Guide registration originally planned for March 17 has been postponed until further notice.

Notre Dame Recreational Centre is happy to let you know that our "Zumba Tone" workshop series is back this fall; just over two weeks before it begins! Zumba Toning is perfect for those who want to party but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles. The challenge of adding resistance by using light weights (a pair of 1-3 lb. dumbbells) helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged!
