This incredible performance gives us the perfect momentum as our team hits the road tomorrow for the Black Belt World tournament in Toronto, and as we gear up for Manitoba Open Provincials on June 20th!

THE POOMSAE TEAM DOES IT AGAIN: THE RESULTS ARE IN!

Seeing all this gold, silver, and bronze from the UTSS Community Challenge is absolutely incredible, but what moves us even more is reflecting on exactly HOW far these athletes have come to achieve this.

From laying down the foundation at the Dando Poomsae Tournament to hitting an entirely new gear this past weekend at UTSS, the momentum this team is building is unstoppable! Medals are wonderful, but they are just reflections of the countless early mornings, the sweaty training sessions, the tears of frustration, and the relentless determination to keep improving. The massive growth we have witnessed from each and every athlete from one tournament to the next is our real victory.

This is what martial arts is all about! 🥋❤️ So incredibly proud of Carlos, Dre, and Martin at the Winnipeg UTSS Community Challenge 2026.

They stepped into the ring as fierce competitors in the U10 Boys -30kg division and walked off the mats the exact same way they started: as friends. Even though these talented black belt athletes had to face off against each other, they embraced the challenge and used it as a moment to try new things and grow. Carlos took Silver, Dre earned Bronze, and Martin took 4th place after some amazing fights, showing true perseverance and self-control every step of the way.

A massive THANK YOU to Coach Mitch, Coach Wesley, and Coach Aryanne. We know coaching your own athletes in the same bracket can get nerve-wracking, but you held your composure perfectly and said exactly the right things to keep the boys focused and supported. 🙌
