🏆In his final year as our head coach, Tom Okany, received coach of the year award! Coach Tom has been the heart of TTTC for the last 8 years and we were thrilled he received recognition by Triathlon MB for his dedication to this role.
🏆Adrienne Barber received most improved athlete of the year for her outstanding performance over the year. She knocked 19 minutes off her finishing time over the year by improving in all 3 disciplines. She also placed first in her age group in her debut long distance race!
🏆Patrick Labossier won The Grand Prix series AND Age Group Athlete of the year! No photo since he is competing in Worlds in Australia.

Our amazing TTTC teammate! 😍
2024 OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR: Karen Sawatzky!
After several years as a triathlete, Karen decided to give back to the community and became an Official. This year, 2024, was Karen's second year as a PTO1 Official and she has embraced the role enthusiastically. This season she officiated at 10 local events! She even stepped up to be the Head Referee for our new event, The Pas Tri-Community Triathlon.
According to Manitoba's Head Official, Karen has continually expanded her knowledge by asking insightful questions and reflecting on the responses. She consistently ensures adherence to the rules and fairness during transitions, performing her helmet and bike checks with great attention to detail. Karen is a valuable member of the provincial officiating team!
Thank you so much for your commitment to our community Karen!

What would Triple Threat be without our coach Tom? Many thanks to Tom for his dedication to coaching us to swim, bike, run. From answering our million questions, calming our pre-race nerves, and providing patient guidance on our journey through triathlon training to racing. Whether it’s our first or 20th race, he has advice for all of us. Thank you for your dedication to triathlon and our club! 🙏Btw you owe us a round of drinks! 🍺 Cheers to Coach Tom 🍻
