What a wonderful way to celebrate the final days of spring!

We started our Saturday at Social Worker’s Camp and taught some angels how to dance… Then abracadabra and p**f! We took the mermaid and pirate out to parade and play with the beautiful children and families in Port Williams.

Life is good. We are blessed. Watch out summer… we’re just getting started! 🧜‍♀️ 🏴‍☠️ 💃 🕺🏻 ❤️

Hey everyone! We are going to be on the south shore for Dock St Days in Shelburne this July. We’d love to see some of you there to dance by the ocean :)

Last year, we were thrilled to welcome the Annapolis Valley Dance Company to Dock St. Days, where they led some fantastic line dancing lessons that quickly became a crowd favourite! 💃🕺

We're excited to announce that they'll be returning this year — and we'd love your input on what you'd like to see!

✨ Possible dance activities include:
• Salsa by the Sea – a beginner-friendly Latin dance lesson followed by a DJ'd Latin dance party 🌊💃
• Line Dancing – country, pop, Latin, funk, soul, rock, disco, maritime, and more!
• Latin, Line, or Ballroom Dance Performances

Free family friendly event We’re thrilled to announce that Salsa by the Sea is back in Wolfville this summer!

Free Beginner Lesson + Latin Dance Party

Presented in partnership with the Town of Wolfville and Annapolis Valley Dance Company, this is your chance to move, connect, and celebrate under the open sky with music, community, and joy.

Each evening begins with a hour-long beginner Latin dance lesson (featuring Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Line), followed by a vibrant dance party by the sea.

Not a dancer? No problem!
Bring a blanket, a picnic, the kids — or just soak in the Latin rhythms and the beauty of the waterfront.

Who it's for:
Everyone! These inclusive, all-ages events are about dancing for joy, movement, and wellness. No partner or experience needed — just show up and have fun.

Back by popular demand! We’re excited to launch a new 4-week Modern Line Dance Mini-Series in Wolfville this July!

If you’ve ever wanted to try modern line dancing — or want a fun way to be social and stay active mid-week — this series is a great place to start.

Each week we’ll teach new choreography and music styles, so every class brings fresh dances, new steps, and lots of laughs.

No experience or partner required — just dress for comfort and come ready to move.

Full Series: $75
Drop-in: $20

All ages welcome.

Please bring indoor footwear suitable for hardwood floors (no boots), dress comfortably, and bring water — it’s a great workout!

Experience the joy of line dancing in a whole new way, with instruction and choreography by Annapolis Valley Dance Company.

Sign up for our new 4-week line dance mini-series and try a variety of new musical styles and steps that will keep you moving, grooving, and laughing.

Join us on Wednesday nights, from 6:30-7:30pm, at the Wolfville Legion (upper floor).

Sign up in advance to secure your spot on the floor! New dance patterns will be taught each week, with new material in every class!

Program Admission: $75 for full series.

The Valley's best social dance experience starts in 3 weeks!!!

It's almost time for Salsa By The Sea, our FREE weekly beginner-friendly Latin dance series, taking place at the gazebo in Wolfville Waterfront Park on Fridays at 6-8pm, from June 19-September 4, 2026.

Each week, we bring people together through music, movement, and connection, welcoming everyone from first-time dancers, families, students, and visitors, to seasoned dancers and performers from across the province!

This inclusive, accessible experience is for everyone to enjoy and directly supports and enhances participant's mental, social, and physical wellbeing. No experience or partner needed!

You're invited, come dance with us!!!

As a little girl I dreamt of being a choreographer. My journey as a jazz vocalist has taken me to ballrooms around the world, and I have performed on land and high seas. As I approach my 40th birthday, I am grateful for every lesson, every opportunity, and every step along the way.

It’s one thing to sing and dance… but there’s no greater accomplishment than sharing your passion with others (who had never waltzed a day in their lives) and watching them sparkle, shine, and beam with the same joy that STILL keeps me going.

Thank you so much to my husband and the 24 incredible people who trusted me to lead them into dance. Your courage, dedication, and growth has taught me so much and I will forever be grateful to you for helping to make my own Cinderella dream come true. ❤️ 💃
