VISS is back for 2022!

To celebrate the 500th anniversary of Antonio Manciolino’s Opera Nova, VISS is putting together a small and intimate weekend to focus on the martial arts of the Bolognese masters of the “Dardi School.”

This year the event will be at beautiful Academie Duello in Vancouver, British Columbia on February 18th – 20th.
This will be so much more than sidesword. We are bringing together world-renowned instructors to lead a deep dive into the Bolognese methods for the two-handed sword, for polearms, and for grappling. Naturally we will also delve into the use of the sidesword with and without defensive arms. This will be a great event not only for experienced Bolognese swordfolk but also for historical fencers eager to dip their toes into a new martial tradition.
