FECOFA : LE SEUL CANDIDAT EN LICE, VÉRON MONSENGO A PRÉSENTÉ SA VISION POUR LA FÉDÉRATION.

Le candidat à la Présidence de la Fédération Congolaise de Football Association (FECOFA), Monsieur Véron Mosengo-Omba, a remercié, hier mardi, le 12 mai 2026, les participants à la conférence de 📺📱🖥️📹📸🗞️ presse de présentation de son programme "FECOFA 2030".

Dans une publication sur son compte 📱 X, l’ancien Secrétaire Général de la CAF a salué la mobilisation autour de cette rencontre, qu’il considère comme une étape importante pour son projet de réforme du football congolais.

📱 : « Merci à toutes celles et ceux qui ont pris part hier à la conférence de presse de présentation du programme FECOFA 2030 », a-t-il écrit.

Selon lui, cette conférence a permis d’exposer les grandes lignes de sa vision pour la fédération, autour de la gouvernance, de la structuration des compétitions et du développement du football sur l’ensemble du territoire national.

📱 : « Ce moment important a permis de partager notre vision, des priorités claires, une équipe engagée et surtout une ambition : refonder durablement le football congolais », a-t-il déclaré.

Véron Mosengo-Omba a aussi insisté sur l’importance du dialogue avec les acteurs du ballon rond congolais.

Les échanges de la rencontre démontrent, selon lui, que le football congolais continue de susciter de fortes attentes au sein de l’opinion sportive nationale.

📱 : « Les échanges, les questions et les contributions ont confirmé une chose essentielle : notre football suscite toujours passion, attente et espoir », a-t-il souligné.

📱 : « J’espère avoir modestement répondu, avec clarté et sincérité, aux principales interrogations exprimées ces dernières semaines. »

Le candidat a conclu en réaffirmant sa détermination à poursuivre son projet de réforme autour de l’unité et de la structuration des institutions sportives.

📱 : « Le travail continue. Le débat continue. La construction continue. Refonder pour structurer. Structurer pour gagner. Les 26 provinces, un seul football », a-t-il conclu.

L’élection du nouveau président de la FECOFA est prévue le 20 mai 2026.

Sur neuf candidatures déposées au départ, six avaient été écartées par la commission électorale : Shabani Nonda, Aziz Makukula, Jean-Claude Mukanya, Jean-Max Mayaka, Kevin Issa et Patou Mangenda.

Après plusieurs désistements et décisions des instances de recours, Véron Mosengo-Omba apparaît aujourd’hui comme le seul candidat officiellement en lice.
