Race night recap.

Had to start in the back all night since we didn’t have any points. Started 14th and finished 10th Unfortunately the track was rubbered up around the bottom without many passing opportunities. Not a bad start to the year. We’ll be back next week at the thunderdome.

Unfortunately we won’t be at the Kossuth County Speedway tomorrow night. We had some unfortunate engine issues with our new engine in practice this past weekend. So we’re getting that switched out and plan to practice at the Hancock County Speedway this weekend to get some more laps in the car to make sure there isn’t any discomfort behind the wheel before we get back racing. Sorry to all my fans and sponsors but we’ll be back soon I promise!

Well our week at Boone has come to an end. Yesterday we started 6th and was up to 3rd on the second lap before being taken out which caused us to finish 8th which ended our night and hurt us pretty badly in points. Today we rolled of 6th for our last chance heat race and was making our way forward while being hit on about every cornerof the car before being caught up in a pretty bad wreck. The car is hurt pretty badly so that will bring an end to our season. We definitely had some pretty good speed all week so I can’t complain. Now we’ll focus on getting ready for next year.

Last night I was able to get back behind the wheel for the Salute to Veterans Race in algona. Always a great race to be a part of seeing all the veterans and hearing their stories.
Started the night off starting last in the heat race was making our way forward when the steering arm came off. Got it fixed up for the feature where we started 22nd and passed a few cars before getting caught up in a wreck. Went to the tail and drove it all the way up to 6th. Pretty good night in the end. Also have to give a shout out to the Kossuth County Speedway they busted their butts to give us a place to race last night.
