Fakebba Susso Wins Player of the Group Stage Award – Basse Subzone Nawetan 2025

The Sports Journalists’ Association Gambia – Upper River Region (SJAG-URR), in collaboration with the Basse District Sports Committee (BDSC), has awarded Fakebba Susso the Player of the Group Stage accolade in the ongoing Basse Subzone Nawetan 2025.

The award was officially presented on Tuesday at the Basse Mini Stadium, in recognition of Fakebba’s exceptional performance throughout the group stage.

Playing for BK Football Academy, Fakebba’s creativity, leadership, and consistency were crucial to his team’s success — particularly in their hard-fought draw against the rising Kumbija FC in the final group match, which helped them remain competitive in the tournament.

His display has earned him praise from fans, officials, and fellow players, with many tipping him as one of the standout talents of this year’s competition.
