Race day… rain or shine! ☔️

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us for our youth triathlon today!

With close to 100 registrations, this was one of our biggest events in the past 7 years, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have so many new faces joining us and trying something new.

Even with a slight rain delay and some wet roads, these kids toughed it out and swam, biked and ran their hearts out. And most importantly, had some fun!

Thank you athletes, families, and volunteers for coming out to race, cheer and support… we couldn’t do this without you!

Our MMTT Youth Tri is this Sunday! 🤩

We will be hosting a transition clinic on Saturday, May 23rd at 1pm. Drop in for some helpful tips from our Youth and Elite Team coaches, review race day procedures, and practice some skills!

Race day is almost here! 🏊🚴🏃 Our MMTT Youth Triathlon is coming up on Sunday, May 24th in Geneva, IL, and we'd love to see your young athletes on the start line!

For over 25 years, this race has been introducing kids to the sport of triathlon. (Fun fact: Olympic medalists Ben Kanute and Kevin McDowell both got their start right here at this race! 🥈🏅)

We have divisions for ALL experience levels and ages:

🔹 Juniors 5–8 | 75m swim, 2mi bike, 0.5mi run
🔹 Juniors 9–10 | 125m swim, 2mi bike, 0.5mi run
🔹 Seniors 11–16 | 125m swim, 5mi bike, 1mi run
🔹 Elites (ages 12–18) | 375m swim, 6.2mi bike, 1.55mi run
🔹 High School Championship (ages 14–19) | 375m swim, 6.2mi bike, 1.55mi run

MMTT - Youth Triathlon 2026 | MMTT A local, beginner-friendly race for kids of all ages and abilities. Proceeds from this event benefit MMTT.

We had 10 MMTT athletes make the trip to Fort Worth and race the first event of the series. While we’ve had a cold spring and not much time outside yet here in the Midwest, these athletes proved that the indoor training has been getting them primed for a strong season! 🔥

While we had many notable performances, we had 5 of our athletes finish in the top 20 of their respective divisions:

Elena Johnson (.masquida.johnson ) – 8th in her first junior female race

Julia Rodney ( ) – 18th in the junior female race – her top finish in that division

Mia Johnson – 4th in the Youth Elite field in her first ever draft legal event!

Jaxson Neukrich – 15th in the Youth Elite field with one of the fastest runs in the field

Frankie Ochs – top 5 in the Boys 11-12 division

Really proud of the way these kids executed this early season race and we’re excited to see what the rest of this year brings! 🤩
