We want to tell you a story about ! Dany was one of the first who noticed our event last year. He then got so excited that he contact us before the event if he can print the Octopus Gravel logo in big and put it on his van (one year later it is still on there) 🤩. He came to the first edition and had an absolute blast. He kept posting about the event and when the registration opened for the second edition he signed up first. In the first minute!

Now when we looked at the start list, we thought a second to give number 1 to one of the plenty stars of the gravel scene, but it was an easy decision to give it to Dany. He was first and he stands for the spirit of our event like no one else. Octopus Gravel is for riders who simple love to ride gravel. Not matter how strong you are! See you next year Dany 🐙🏔🤗

You can imagine that it is never easy to come up with something completely new. To hear now for the second year running how much you enjoy to test yourself and tackle these amazing dead end climbs. How well this concept works to attracts beginners and world class riders at the same time. How much you liked it to cross path all day long with other participants and see even the strongest a fee times a day.

Someone said it is like to be a racer and a spectator at the same time! 🐙🏔🥰!

Many of you asked how many riders completed 6 or 7 of the legs of the 🐙 route! Here you go!

49 riders did all 7 climbs
81 riders did 6 climbs

This means 130 riders will get points for the . This are around 30% of the participants (We counted the Gütsch climb as well if you just climbed up to the motorbike accident)

We are still buzzing of the second edition of ! 🤩

500 riders from around 40 different nationalities enjoyed an epic day in the alps with us! Thanks to everyone who made it such an unforgettable day from dusk till dawn 🫶🐙🤘!

We highly recommend everyone who joins us on the 1st of July to come for the whole weekend! On Friday evening we will have a gravel talk & show two short adventure movies. Saturday after party will be one to remember 💃🏼🕺 and the Sunday morning hangover ride will be the perfect ending of a unique weekend! 🚴🏾🚴🏽‍♀️

Don’t forget you can also camp with your van in the event area if you don’t find an accommodation to your liking!

Great news for all campervan lovers!
This year you will be allowed to camp directly at the event area! We will provide outdoor showers and toilets. Fee is 10CHF per day to the owner of the parking. Let’s make it a real bike fesitval! No reservation needed.

Everyone wanting to camp by tent we still recommend to go to the official camp ground in Andermatt!
