Most women I work with are not stuck.
They’re waiting.
Waiting for a phase to end.
For more space.
For the moment when things finally feel… manageable.
And it makes sense.
If your life is full —
if you’re used to holding things together —
waiting feels responsible.
Nothing in your external reality, though,
actually removes the discomfort of starting.
It just changes the context.
So the moment you were waiting for…
quietly moves with you.

There’s a moment in every real transition
when the old map stops working —
and the new one hasn’t appeared yet.
From a neuroscience lens, this isn’t failure or confusion.
It’s re-organisation.
When familiar roles, routines, or identities dissolve,
the brain briefly shifts into a threat response.
The amygdala looks for certainty.
The prefrontal cortex — where clarity, creativity, and choice live — goes quieter.
That’s why transition can feel foggy, emotional,
or oddly exhausting — even for highly capable people.
What’s often missed:
this pause is not a problem.
It’s the brain making space for neuroplastic change.
Before insight comes regulation.
Before direction comes meaning-making.
Before a new identity stabilises,
the nervous system needs safety, curiosity, and time.
Transitions are not about “reinventing yourself overnight.”
They’re about gently updating the internal story:
who am I becoming now,
what still fits,
and what no longer needs to.
When we slow down enough to listen,
agency returns — not as pressure, but as choice.
Not knowing what’s next doesn’t mean you’re lost.
It often means you’re in the middle of change — even if nothing looks clear yet.

Why do some women move through midlife with clarity and confidence—while others stay stuck?
One word: fear.
- Fear of disrupting what feels “fine”
- Fear of losing what they’ve worked so hard for
- Fear that if they change it… they won’t be able to put the pieces back together
I hear it all the time:
“I know I need a change… but the thought of it scares me.”
Here’s what I want you to know:
👉🏼 Staying where you are is still a choice.
👉🏼 And that choice deserves respect.
Not everyone’s ready to crack things open.
Not everyone wants to face the grief, the mess, the unknown.
And that’s okay.
There’s a quiet power in saying:
“I’m not ready. And I’m owning that.”
But if the restlessness is growing louder...
If the voice inside keeps whispering, “Is this it?”
Then maybe it’s time to stop managing fear—and start meeting it.
Midlife doesn’t ask you to be fearless.
It asks you to be honest.
And from there—to choose.
—
P.S. This is the work I do with women in transition:
Not fixing, not forcing—
But gently untangling the fear and helping you find your next step.
Curious what that could look like for you?

𝗬𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱: “Which state are you in?”
☀️ Solid, Liquid, or Gas?
Today? Let’s just say…
🐾 I’ve officially entered “floatation mode.”
When the Sahara heat refuses to quit and even the dogs agree it’s too hot to swim — we adapt.
Meet Captain Chip, our fearless river surfer.
And down below? That’s lifeguard Connor, ever watchful, toy in mouth, ready to save the day (or just steal the spotlight).
One rides.
One retrieves.
One supervises (while slowly melting)😅.
Sometimes regulation looks like deep breathing.
Other times?
It’s finding the closest shady river, a swim board, and letting yourself do less.
Swipe for pure summer chaos, canine delegation, and emotional states in motion.
What did you do today to cool down or slow down?
And be honest — are you regulating… or just barely holding it together on a swim board like the rest of us?

Here’s a surprising fact: 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝟭 𝙞𝙣 𝟯 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙣𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.
Many mid-lifers experience a deep sense of 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙩, waking up each day wondering, “How did I get here?”
Life may feel like it’s 𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜, with no real 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙧 𝙟𝙤𝙮—just a monotonous cycle of responsibilities.
You may hardly 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛, feeling like a shadow of the person you once were.
Maybe you’re thinking, “Is this all there is?” or questioning whether you’ve 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙙 somewhere along the way.
Some feel 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙘𝙠, unable to see a clear way forward.
Others are 𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛, desperate for anything—to reignite their spirit.
The urge to 𝙧𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 from it all can feel overwhelming.
If this resonates, know this: 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚.
These feelings don’t mean you’re failing—they are signs that something in your life is 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.

A few years ago, I was working with a brilliant, kind-hearted woman. As her birthday approached, she shared something that surprised me:
“I feel guilty on my birthday,” she said.
“Like I don’t deserve the attention. Like I have to perform happiness—even when I don’t feel it.”
That moment stuck with me.
And she wasn’t alone. Over the years, I’ve heard variations of this from so many people.
This quiet discomfort with being celebrated.
This unspoken pressure to be grateful enough, happy enough, and together enough.
Because behind all our to-do lists and accomplishments, so many of us carry this silent weight:
✨ The pressure to be 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 before we feel worthy of celebration.
✨ The discomfort with receiving love without earning it.
✨ The feeling that birthdays are a spotlight we don’t know how to stand in.
And today, on my own birthday, I’m thinking about her.
Not because I feel the same guilt, but because I understand it.
I know how deeply we can internalize the idea that our worth is tied to what we do.
𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗜’𝗺 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆:
You don’t have to prove anything to be worth celebrating.
Not on your birthday. Not ever.
So today, I’m honoring the full human experience — mine, hers, maybe yours too.
The joy 𝘢𝘯𝘥 the complexity. The milestones 𝘢𝘯𝘥 the messy middle.
This birthday isn’t about cake or candles.
It’s about choosing to stand fully in my story.
To let myself be seen, not for what I’ve achieved, but for who I’m becoming.
To celebrate my life as it is, not as it “should” be.
So if birthdays feel weird for you, too — heavy, complicated, emotional — I see you.
And I offer you the same gift I’m giving myself today:
✨ Permission to receive.
✨ Permission to reflect.
✨ Permission to celebrate the 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨, not just the doing.
Here’s to honoring our messy, beautiful, evolving selves — at every age! 🎉

There are 1440 minutes in a day. How many of them are you enjoying?
Do you have an honest answer to this question?
Most people aren’t honestly present for 90% of their day.
Sounds extreme, right? But think about it…
Have you ever driven home and suddenly realized you don’t remember the journey?
Scroll on your phone, only to look up and wonder where the last 30 minutes went?
Eaten a meal without actually tasting it?

Take one bite of food—with complete awareness.
𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨?
“I don’t think I’ve ever tasted my meal before.”
“It made me realize how much I rush through everything.”
“Cooking felt like a meditation—I’ve never enjoyed it this much.

Four years ago, I took a leap of faith and started AMF Coaching & Consulting.
But the truth is, this journey began long before that—when I was just a girl growing up in Siberia, dreaming of the tropical sun.
I chased that dream, building a career that took me to stunning destinations and working in luxury hotels where beauty and warmth surrounded me.
It seemed like I had found exactly what I had been looking for.
And yet, something was missing.
𝙄 𝙠𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛: 𝙒𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙪𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙪𝙨, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙥 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨?
That question led me to coaching.
At 38, after transitioning from hospitality to the diplomatic sector, I found myself in a job that looked great on paper but felt completely wrong.
I had followed the “better something than nothing” mindset,
only to realize I was lost, stuck, and unfulfilled.
I hired a career coach.
And for the first time, I stopped searching outside of myself for answers.
Through coaching, I uncovered my true values, strengths, and purpose.
𝙄 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚, 𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠, 𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣—𝙞𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚.
That realization changed everything.
It led me to create AMF Coaching & Consulting, named after my initials—
Anna Mohamed Fathallah—
but also standing for what I now guide others toward:
𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙪𝙡𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.
Since then, I’ve helped over 80 women navigate their midlife transitions, finding clarity, purpose, and the courage to step into careers and life that truly reflect who they are.
💡 What I’ve learned in these four years?
We don’t just need a change of scenery—we need to find our inner sun.
To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you. Your trust, stories, and transformations inspire me every day ❤️.
Here’s to finding our own sun, wherever we are. ☀️

It often stems from anxiety and fear, making us question everything.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙨? 𝙒𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙩.
There are techniques to quiet the noise and bring peace to our minds.
𝙄𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙛 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩.
We’d remain prisoners of our own thoughts—
dwelling on the past,
fearing the future,
and missing out on the beauty of the present.

It traps us in a cycle of doubt and endless what-ifs:
❌ What if I fail?
❌ What if people judge me?
❌ What if I’m not good enough?
❌ What if I disappoint everyone?
❌ What if it’s too late to start over?
❌ What if I never figure things out?
❌ What if I make the wrong choice?
❌ What if this doesn’t work, and I have no options?
These thoughts weigh us down, making us feel stuck.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝:
🔆 You are not your thoughts.
🔆 Your thoughts don’t define you.
🔆 It’s okay to let go of those that don’t serve you, releasing the burden of constant analysis.
You have the power to create your own reality by changing your thoughts.
