That groove! 🔥

Sonia & Héctor at JBD 2026. Their dancing always looks effortless and it makes us want to jump right in.

At their school they teach and dance both roles, and you can feel that openness in every class.

Who's taking their class in January? 👇

California sunshine. 💛

Grace & Blake at JBD 2026, with The Big Five feat. Nicolle Rochelle live behind them. Last year was their first time in Basel and they brought that SoCal sunshine with them. ☀️

Our dear friends dance it all: Lindy Hop, Balboa and S**g. And every time it looks like they're having the time of their lives.

They're coming back January 8 to 10, 2027. Over 85% booked, save your spot now, link in bio.

Every single edition of Jitterbugs Delight, they've been with us. 💛

And they're back January 8 to 10, 2027 for the next edition.

They always get top marks for their teaching, we love their shows, that they are always on the social dance floor and the way they make every floor feel like paradise. 😉 And that's what JBD is all about.

Jitterbuggin' in Shanghai! 💛

Earlier this month, we danced in a tribute to the ultimate Jitterbug, Hal Takier.
Since day one, Hal and Betty's dancing in "Maharaja" has been on our website as our inspiration. Hal never cared about boxes. His swing was simply his own thing, pure joy and freedom.

That's exactly the spirit we founded Basel Jitterbugs on: all dance styles on one floor, mixed freely! ✨

Or in Hal's words: "Enjoy the music. It's all about the music. When that music gets going… boom. I'm gone." 🎶

So this performance meant a lot to us. 🙏 Thank you Holly, Zilong, and Susan from .sh for making it happen, and for the choreography!

This one is also for Betty, his partner in the early days, and for Marge, who danced with him for decades. 💃🕺
