"Hi everyone,

I’m taking on a huge challenge to raise money and awareness for families affected by cancer — families just like mine.

A few years ago, my world changed forever when we lost our beautiful daughter Roxanne to synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. She was our oldest, and she faced her illness with incredible strength, heart, and courage.

During her journey, Team Jak became a lifeline. They gave Roxanne moments of joy and freedom that cancer tried to steal — one of her happiest memories was a sailing trip off the west coast of Scotland with other children facing similar battles. These precious experiences offered light during the darkest days, not just for her but for all of us as a family.

Since Roxanne passed, I’ve had her dog EEKO by my side. He was her companion, and now he’s mine — my best friend, my partner on this road.

Now, I’m setting out to do something that’s harder than anything I’ve done before. After 37 years of skateboarding, this challenge will push me further than I’ve ever gone. But that’s the point: it needs to hurt — because what families like ours go through hurts every single day. I want to honour Roxanne’s memory, and give back to Team Jak so they can continue supporting families through the unimaginable.
