Long in the making... The kingdom took years to create, but only has 3 days left on Kickstarter!

One of my favourite places in the Gates of Lilamythia is the forge. It was one of those moments where I thought: "A forge would be a good metaphor for transformation"... even before I realised just how powerful it was.

At first, I only thought of fire... but as I was looking up old forges from the middles ages to inspire my drawing, I saw the bellows, water barrel and the wood to fuel the fire.

All four elements were necessary.
How cool was that?

It's a combination of all the forces of nature, working together, to melt and reshape one of the most resistant materials on Earth.

If they can reshape metal, they must have the power to reshape the stories in our minds!

So what about the fifth element, the ethers?

While it might not be mentioned here, it is the one that holds the greatest key... because without the ethers, or spirit, how would we know what transformation was to take shape?

What does Lilamythia even mean?

Finding a meaningful word to describe these games of expansion that I have been creating was quite a task in itself... but I wanted to find something that represented both PLAY and ALIGNMENT.

So after going down many rabbit holes, exploring different cultures that inspire me, I took the word lila from sanscrit, meaning "divine play" and miðja (pronounced mythia) of a more northern european origin, which means "center".

So Lilamythia is a place where divine play takes us back to center.
