Sometimes the best moments at Web Summit happen when you stop for a minute, sit under the Lisbon light, and suddenly a screen and a talk pull you in until the end.
This time it was "The Power of Social Intelligence".
THREE brilliant women talking about how strategy is no longer built in closed rooms but in real time, in conversations, in the beautiful confusion of people online.
They talked about speed, authenticity and trust. About how AI can make us faster but it will never make us human.
And I thought about sport. Behind every game and every athlete there is a person trying to connect, to be understood. That is what truly moves us.
At SportWorks we try to keep this human side alive.
We connect people who believe that sport can still change the world, especially women finding their voice in it.
So I ask you.
How can we use technology to bring us closer instead of apart.
And how do we make sure women’s voices are part of this new story.

Kicking off Web Summit 2025 ✨
Lisbon feels alive with ideas that move the world.
More than seventy thousand people gathered to talk about technology, but also about people, and how innovation can serve humanity instead of replacing it.
Maria Sharapova’s talk was my favorite moment. She spoke about her journey from athlete to investor and how technology can support human performance without losing its soul. It is powerful to see women from sport take the stage in global tech events, sharing stories that go far beyond the game.
Anton Osika from Lovable reminded us that technology should give more people the freedom to create. His vision of building world changing companies from Europe felt both bold and human.
From sport to AI, from creativity to sustainability, one message stood out. Purpose matters.
