Born in July 2013, the International Trail-Running Association is aimed to promote trail running and its strong values, to promote security and health prevention on trail races, to give a voice to all the actors of trail running at the international level and to have constructive relations with national trail associations, national and international federations.

The 2026 Asia Pacific Trail Running Championships will be held in Wuyishan, Fujian Province, China, one of the most remarkable natural and cultural landscapes in the world.
This second edition will unite the top trail runners from across the Asia Pacific region, competing for individual and team titles and a coveted overall cup.
Championship race formats:
Long Trail (80 km)
Short Trail (40 km)
U23 Trail (15 km)
Participation is reserved for each country or territory’s highest-ranked athletes, selected based on their ITRA Performance Index. Federations play a central role in team selection.
