The Brahmaputra Volleyball League’s BVL Plus Challenger Series may be over, but the action continues across Assam.

At BVL Centres throughout the state, young players are back on court, developing their skills and growing their love for volleyball. While the Challenger Series highlights some of the best of Assam volleyball, the Centres continue to be where that journey begins, introducing young players to the sport, allowing them to build lifelong friendships and helping them develop their skills.

The Githurai Kimbo Academy🏐

For more than a decade, the academy has been creating opportunities for young people in Githurai 45, Nairobi.

From scholarships and educational support to success on the volleyball court, the academy has helped young people develop the skills, confidence and ambition to shape their own futures. Its impact reaches far beyond sport, positively affecting families, schools and the wider community.

The Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL) 🏐

Born in Assam in 2020, the BVL is a grassroots volleyball project created to bring structured sport into rural communities and open pathways for young talent across India.

What started during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a platform that has supported thousands of children, powered by villages, coaches and communities working together.

Volley4Change: Learning, connection and opportunity through volleyball. 🏐💙

The project supported the Bay Barrier Community on Pentecost Island, Vanuatu, through five sessions focused on communication, inclusion, leadership and volleyball development.

The week concluded with a special closing ceremony and the donation of volleyball equipment to the community.

Over the past two years, the FIVB Volleyball Foundation has supported communities around the world, creating opportunities for people to come together, belong and grow through volleyball.

Every court, every project, every player and every smile is a reminder of what this sport can do - connecting, serving and inspiring communities through volleyball to help improve societies.
