🏈 Champions Bowl 2019 Highlights 🏈
- 6th place out of 16 teams
- 5 out of 9 games won
- defeating some of the best Flagfootball teams in Europe
After the first participation last year in the Champions Bowl - the tournament where the best in all of Europe compete - the ASVZ Blackbirds returned to Cambrils, Spain, to prove they're not only the best team in the Swiss League but can compete on an eye-to-eye level with the best teams on the continent. And that we did!
The efforts put into the gameplan for the offense as well as the defense, the emphasis on a more physical game and more routine in playing on an international level showed the results the team aimed for. A close competition with some of the strongest teams in Flagfootball lead to beating the defending Champions Bowl winner from Denmark but also losing a close quarterfinal to the German Champions. Overall the team reached its goals, developed its skills further and is already looking forward to the Champions Bowl 2020 🏈🏆
