🤝 Creating connections that make participation possible.

✨ IOC Young Leader Georges Speyer 🇫🇷 is bringing LinkUp to life in Paris, creating new ways for people with disabilities and volunteers to connect through sport and shared experiences.

🚀 Following its first real-world test, the project is now building momentum, with a growing network of partners helping Georges explore how LinkUp can work across different events, activities and communities.

🌍 The next steps will be shaped by those taking part. By listening to participants, volunteers and organisations, Georges is continuing to refine the platform and build towards a more accessible and inclusive way to participate.

🌱Play. Learn. Grow.

IOC Young Leader Ayanna Morgan 🇧🇧 is creating positive sporting experiences for children in Barbados through her initiative, Play with Purpose.

✨ The initiative uses sport and movement to create fun and inclusive spaces where children can explore different activities, build confidence, make new friendships and develop a sense of belonging.

🙌 Ayanna recently brought this vision to life through a six-week Summer Sports Camp, welcoming more than 80 children to experience a wide variety of sports and activities while learning, connecting and simply having fun.

🌍 As Play with Purpose continues to grow, the initiative is moving into its next phase with monthly community activation events, bringing children and families together through sport, movement, play and shared experiences across Barbados.

🔄 What happens when the context changes, but your purpose doesn’t?

In a recent expert session, IOC Young Leaders explored Adapting Strategy Based on Context and Feedback with Sana Mahmood, Global Programs Director at Free to Run 🙌

📚 During the session, Sana shared practical tools for navigating change while staying anchored in your vision, values and the people you serve.

💡 One simple framework: ask yourself what has changed, what still holds and what does this change make possible?

🌍Because adapting your strategy doesn’t mean changing your purpose. Sometimes, it means finding a different way to reach the same goal 🎯

🌱 Building strong, funding-ready initiatives

In a recent expert session, IOC Young Leaders explored Good Financial Practices and Funding Readiness with Jane Moura, Co-founder and President of Empodera. 🙌

The session explored how strong organisations, sound financial practices and the right funding opportunities can help initiatives grow and sustain their impact.

💡 Key reflections from the session:
• Strong projects need strong organisations, with clear processes and good financial management.
• The right funding should align with your mission, values and capacity.
• Securing funding is just the beginning. Good management, communication and transparency help build lasting partnerships.

The session encouraged IOC Young Leaders to invest not only in their ideas, but also in building strong initiatives that can grow and create lasting impact. 🌍

🏊‍♀️ Making sport safer, in and out of the water

What does it take to create a sporting environment where everyone feels safe, supported and included?

IOC Young Leader Sara Moamen Abdelsamie 🇪🇬 is putting that question into action through Safe Swim, an event developed through her project Alhalimun to strengthen awareness and understanding of safeguarding in sport.

Bringing different voices from across the sports community together, Safe Swim marks the beginning of a wider journey towards making safer sport a shared responsibility. 🙌

One playground 🌍 Shared values 🤝

IOC Young Leader Chloé Abou Chabake 🇱🇧 is using sport to help bring young people from different backgrounds together through her initiative, Mal3ab Wa7ad.

✨ Inspired by the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect, the project aims to strengthen social cohesion in Lebanon by creating safe and inclusive spaces where young people can connect, learn from differences and find common ground through sport.

🙌 Chloé recently put this vision into practice with the first official prototype workshop of Mal3ab Wa7ad in Jounieh, bringing together 20 young people through play, dialogue and shared values.

🌍 As the initiative develops, Mal3ab Wa7ad will continue creating opportunities for young people from different backgrounds to connect, learn from one another and experience unity through sport.
