🐴 🇲🇽 🏆 Champions’ moment at Tecámac 🐎

Following their splendid victory at the Copa CONADE 2025, the winning team gathered on the field at the Club de Polo Tecámac to celebrate a memorable day for Mexican polo.

Proudly wearing the colours of their sponsor Scappino, the team combined youthful talent with seasoned leadership. The side featured Jorge de la Torre, based in Mérida, Yucatán, Martín Espitia, who travelled from Colombia, and the promising young player Mariano Gómez de Parada, guided by his father, the accomplished international polo player Miguel Gómez de Parada.

With trophies in hand and the championship secured, the moment captured both the competitive spirit and the camaraderie that make polo such a uniquely international sport.

The day concluded with the honour of Best Playing Pony awarded to a superb mare owned by Miguel Gómez de Parada, whose outstanding performance proved decisive during the final.

As the legendary polo player Adolfo Cambiaso once remarked: “Polo is not just a sport — it’s a way of life.”

Under the warm Mexican sun, the Copa CONADE 2025 Final unfolded today at the Club de Polo Tecámac, in a match that perfectly captured the elegance and international spirit of the sport.

The tournament was held with the recognition of the Federación Mexicana de Polo, gathering players and spectators for a memorable day of competition and camaraderie.

The winning side — sponsored by the distinguished fashion house Scappino — combined youthful brilliance with seasoned leadership. The team featured Jorge de la Torre, a polo player based in Mérida, Yucatán, alongside Martín Espitia, who travelled from Colombia, and the promising young talent Mariano Gómez de Parada.

Guiding the team to victory was the accomplished international polo player Miguel Gómez de Parada, recipient of the CONADE “Luchador Olmeca” Award (2009), whose experience proved invaluable throughout the match.

In a fitting conclusion to the day, the honour of Best Playing Pony was awarded to a superb mare owned by Miguel Gómez de Parada — a performance of remarkable speed, balance, and intelligence.

As Sir Winston Churchill once remarked, “A polo handicap is a passport to the world.”
