On the 12th of April, skiers in Verbier will take the iconic Savoleyres lift for the very last time. In a resort transformed time and again over the past 56 years, the Savoleyres lift has endured as a simple reminder of another era. Installed in 1970 and made by local Valaisan company Giovanola, it has served as a beautiful backdrop for more than half a century, like straight out of a 70s ski movie. We’re gonna miss it.
