There it is! So much beauty in one piece of paper 📝

As more and more team members arrive in Kathmandu, it is time to attack logistics ⚙️

One important, if not the most important part is the expedition permit. Can you see the smile in their faces..?! 😉

AND IT IS ON! 🗻

The first expedition members arrived in Kathmandu. More will follow over the next days.

Pic 2: Never stop exploring

Pic 3-5: This is Pasupatinath, a major (if not the most important) hindu temple. Families bring their dead beloved ones there to wash them in the river before burning them.

Pic 6: Statue of one of the Malla kings. If the bird on the cobra leaves, he dies.

Many of our members chose Top Extreme Light as their expedition shoes! During this summer, we have been testing them in multiple routes with excellent results: the boots have an excellent robustness and weight ratio. Many thanks to for the support!

It‘s a hard knock life! 😎

Not too long ago our expedition members spent two days on the Furkapass for a hands-on rescue training weekend.

Day 1: Self and companion rescue out of a crevasse 🧊

Day 2: First aid under difficult conditions, repel and transport of a injured team member ⛑

We all learned a ton! A big shout-out to the organisation team and & for having us.

Stay tuned for the upcoming news! 🏞

Our expedition leader Bruce (Piolet d’Or 2010) and expedition CFO Gedas went for the highest training tour they could find without leaving the Alps 😎

Follow their journey:

1) South Buttress of Mont Blanc: Pilier Rouge du Brouillard 🌄

2) Glacier approach: Bruce crossing the snow bridge that Gedas fell through 🤸‍♂️

3) Serac cragging to reach the base of the route 💀

4) Gedas leading the crux pitch 🧗‍♂️

5) Bruce in the quartz band 🧗‍♂️

6) Gedas beyond the airiest move on the pillar 🚀

7) Bruce following the brutal wide cracks on the upper pillar 🧗‍♂️

8) Extensive ridge work on Picco Luigi Amedeo 🤠

9) Finally: Close to the summit 🎉

10) Descending by the well-travelled (but spectacular!) Trois Monts route 👀

3 members went for the Piz Palü full traverse from East to West this weekend. After a biwak at -1, the fresh snow on top made the ridge from the East summit to Piz Palü particularly beautifull ❄️

We are going to be in Nepal in LESS THAN 2 MONTHS 🤯

Here are some recent training activities from some of our expedition members 🧗‍♂️

In June, and Ven climbed Tödi Nordgrat. Checked his account for some more details!

It was also a nice way to celebrate the first ascent done in 1911 by two AACZ members: G. Miescher and K. Steiner.

Pictures from Yoann, who took his skis for an Easter Trip in Monte Rosa massif 🗻
This was a good opportunity to try out the equipment for the expedition, as well as testing his altitude cooking skills with a home-made dal 🇮🇳

One of our member went to the Junfrauregion during the Easter vacations with his friends from South Tyrol to climb the Jungfrau, Grosses Grünhorn, Grosses Fieschhorn and Mönch. They had a beautiful night in tents on the snow ✨. The climbing was rather dry because of the small amount of snow left on the summit 🏔

Follow if you want to see more of his preparation trips
