Sustainable Travel Adventures

As part of ETH Mobility Day during , join us for an evening of inspiring travel stories that prove sustainable adventures are not only possible but truly unforgettable!

🚲🚆⛵ 3 speakers, 3 unique journeys:

- A public transport voyage through Europe – Discover how to explore the continent sustainably using trains

- The Transcontinental Race to Istanbul – Hear firsthand about the challenges and rewards of cycling across borders

- Sailing across the Atlantic – Experience the thrill of crossing an ocean powered by the wind

Beyond storytelling, our speakers will share practical tips on how to plan your own sustainable adventure—whether by bike, train, or boat.

🍷 Stay for a casual apéro afterward! For sustainability’s sake, please bring your own cup.

As part of , VELOVE invites you to three evenings of inspiring films at our Bike Cinema — powered by stationary bikes, provided by .ch

📍 Location: Main tent on Polyterrasse
🚲 How it works: Ten spectators at a time generate the electricity by pedaling while others can enjoy the screening from additional seating. Free popcorn will be provided to keep the energy high!
🔧 Bring Your Own Bike! Want to be part of the action? You're welcome to clamp your bike into our home trainers! If you are not sure whether your bike is compatible, send us a message.

Need a new bike? Or looking to sell one?
Join us at the Velove Velobörse on April 10th, 2025, where you can find affordable pre-owned bikes or sell yours to a new owner!
🚲 All profits support Velove workshop operations
📌 If you're selling a bike, come by from 8 a.m. onwards to register it.
🚲 If you're looking for a new two-wheel friend, we'll be there from 10 to 15h.

Beware of ice out there! Also, new opening hours announcement:
Winter (Nov-Feb): 18-20
Summer (Mar-Oct): 18-21

In summer, last new customers are admitted up to 20:30. In winter, volunteers may choose to extend the shift up to 21 if there are many visitors but it is not guaranteed.
Stay tuned to our storied to see last minute changes to the schedule! Remember we are volunteers so irregularities in the schedule may sometimes happen.

All bikes have a second (and third, and fourth...) life. Add a few more years to your bike!
Our workshop is open to all students. Outside members are asked to give a small donation. See you on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18h to 21h! 😀🚲
