Grasshopper Club Zürich Rugby Section

After two preparation tournaments in France (Centrale Sevens and Howard Hinton), we are proud to announce that four of our players (Lucas Schmid, Antoine Duplan, Mateo Gazzini, and Nello Merazzi) have been selected with the Swiss Sevens National Team for the first leg of the Rugby Europe Sevens Trophy Series that will be held in Makarska, Croatia, from Thursday to Sunday.
The Sevens National team will play against Croatia, Malta and Sweden in the group stage.

With a dominant victory in the votes our BFG (Big F****** German) Tono Sieverding wins the April Try of the Month with his massive solo run against Hermance!

The weekend is finished, and the club has heavy hearts.

The men’s season comes to a premature end at the semi semi-finals. Both teams fought until the very last minute of their games.

We are proud of each and every single player who played for us this season.
Now it’s time to sit back, look where we can improve and start next season strong.

The semifinals are upon us and our men are ready to take on the fight this Saturday and claim their place in the finals!!!

The 1st XV and 2nd XV men’s played against GePLO away and won 38-32 and 73-19! 🔥

The 1st XV and 2nd XV finish the regular season in 4th in the LNA and Excellence A.

ALL 3 teams have secured themselves a spot in the SEMI-FINALS of the playoffs!!! 🔥🔥🔥

This weekend we see ourselves in Geneva to play our last game of the regular season before the playoffs, which start next week. The weather is going to be brilliant and sunny. 🔥

The 1st XV will be looking to win and get a crucial five points to secure themselves into the playoffs!

The 2nd XV will be looking to end the regular season on a high before they play the semifinals next week!
