Ikaros Zürich BC We are a private Basketball club in Zurich, Switzerland.

Ikaros has sprung from the fusion of two historic Greek
oriented teams, Kronos and Titans which spanned a period of 20 years
in Swiss basketball.

After one year of collaboration between the Zurich Titans and Kronos BC (https://www.kronos-basket.ch) , where both teams managed to achieve or even over achieve compared to their initial goals, it was time to take our partnership and brotherhood to the next level. We are very proud to announce that in June a new basketball dynamic was created and resulted to the birth of our joint basketball child:

Ikaros according to Ancient Greek mythology was the ambitious son of Daidalos who created wings for him and taught him how to fly. Flying high and winning is part of our ambition as well, but not only that. We wanted to build a unified team with the same culture, orientation and more important sustainable future. Therefore, we joined forces to create the undoubtedly largest and most successful Greek Basketball Team in Switzerland.

Having said that, we recognise and appreciate the contribution and value of our international players /members which gives our team an international character. This is something we wish to maintain and build on. What brings us together is not our ethnic background but our love for the game, our passion as players and our principals as people. Our goal is to grow, spread our favourite sport in the region of Zurich, win by playing the right way and create a basketball club that will welcome everyone that shares the same aspirations with us.

The sixth season of Titans is officially over. In the last game of the seasons, we beat Boniswil-Seengen Basket team convincingly 93:53. (Funny fact - we never won on their court, they on ours)

When we started the club six years ago, we did not have in mind to advance to the 1st league. In fact, we stormed from 4th to 1st league in 3 seasons, the unbelievable achievement for a totally amateur club who play for the love of this beautiful game. ProBasket, please check if it was done before, and we think we deserved some kind of recognition for it. 😉

But the best thing about the Titans is that it brought to many people together to reach the goal. Thanks to every one of you, who were part of the team those years. WE DID IT!

Season 2016/2017: Titans with two teams advances from League 4 to League 3
Season 2017/18 Titans once again are on fire and go up directly to League 2.

We must be doing something right. ;)

Titans adventure in ProBasket Classic ended pretty fast - we lost vs BBZU Basketball Zürich Unterland first league team in a game, which was useful to get more experience against a stronger oponent.

After win vs BC Olten-Zofingen 60:42

Titans 2 this Saturday lost against Wohlen Basket team 56-65. Back to training, expect us to come stronger and rebound on the next game in Aarau.
