Stage 20, the final climbing stage of the Tour de France™ , raced at a relentless pace with huge crowds on the climbs, a proper mountain showdown before heading to Paris tomorrow to close out the Tour de France.

ᵀᴼᴹ ᴾᴵᴰᶜᴼᶜᴷ «I’m really happy, top ten at the Tour is something to be proud of. Of course I’m ambitious and want to improve next year, but for now I’m satisfied. It’s an unbelievably hard race.

Today’s pace was insane from the start, after twenty minutes I knew it would be a long day. »

Stage 19 — Tour de France™ , Alpe d’Huez. A brutal summit finish with 21 iconic hairpins and legendary crowds all the way up.

ᵀᴼᴹ ᴾᴵᴰᶜᴼᶜᴷ reaction:
“On the second-to-last climb I went really deep, and I think I paid for it on the final one, I was pretty much empty there.
Of course, you always hope for more, but honestly, I don’t think I had anything left in my legs. Still a fight, and I’m still in the mix.
And climbing up here with the fans — it’s incredible… they make it so special.”
