Small Things Matter: the power of a small act of kindness & gratitude 💖
Tonight, I again experienced the magic of group fitness.
And also, the magic of a small act of kindness.
With an intense week behind me, I was on low energy and still a bit jetlagged tonight before the class. I was wondering how I will make it through with full power and how will I give everything I can to the 30+ people in the room.

And then something else happened.
A lady came to be at the end of the class and gave me a chocolate 🍫. She thanked me for the class, and explained that it’s a big traditional celebration in Roumania today. By giving me the chocolate with a special red & white string – she gave me her wishes of health and prosperity.
Small act of kindness which makes you feel amazing: ✔ 🤗
In a world often consumed by the grandeur of big achievements and monumental events, it’s easy to overlook the significance of the small things that pepper our daily lives.
Whether it’s a warm smile from a stranger, a heartfelt conversation with a friend, the soothing comfort of a favorite book or just chocolate - these small
gestures and experiences have the power to uplift our spirits and bring joy to
our hearts.
Expressing appreciation for the small acts of kindness we receive fosters a sense of warmth and belonging within our communities, creating a ripple effect of positivity that spreads far and wide.
So I’d like to say to my class participant: Thank You for bringing me joy tonight! 🙏
Let’s embrace the power of gratitude and celebrate the beauty of life’s simplest pleasures, one small moment at a time.
What are you grateful for today?

The power of movement & the power of music. As some of you know – I teach Group Fitness once a week at Activ. And tonight, I again am overwhelmed by what the power of movement, power of music and group energy can do.
No matter how my week or my day was – the moment I enter the group fitness room, my energy changes. The moment I put my microphone around my head I know that the next hour will just be amazing. And it always, always is.
It is amazing not only because I get to move, but more importantly because I get to move with the group. We get to move together, activated, waken-up and empowered by music. We move, we sweat, we feel our muscles burn, we activate happiness hormones together. We take time to be there, for ourselves but also for the others, together in unison, doing good to our bodies and minds.
Today, I was feeling unfit since the morning, and I even went back to sleep before lunch. Energy level was low. I still made it to the gym because I knew magic will happen. Again.
Moving with music and moving with others is powerful. It makes all the cells of your body awake and vibrating in unison. You can feel the hidden strengths coming out, you feel your confidence coming back and you feel stronger than you felt just a couple minutes ago. You find the energy you forgot you had.
My friendly advice to all of you today: get moving.
Even if it’s only to go around the block or to go buy some bread at the supermarket.
Take a couple of stairs up instead of using the lift.
Go out of the bus one stop earlier.
Go to that gym class.
Come to my class on Friday! 😊
Because movement is so powerful.
Movement is the essence of life.
PS: All class participants agreed to the photo :-)

During my summer holidays, I read this amazing book by Jessie Inchauspé, alias .Jessie is on a mission to help people improve their physical and mental health. She explains her discoveries about blood sugar in a very easy and accessible way, while transmitting a lot of valuable knowledge.
As she says - "It’s not what you eat, it’s how you eat it".
Glucose spikes in your blood make you feel tired, hungry, give you mood swings & cravings, brain fog and energy crashes. They do affect your physical & mental health.
Long story short: the flatter your glucose curve is during the day - the better you will feel.
And this is exactly what this book is about. Jessie gives you practical and very easy tips for everyday life which help you to flatten your glucose curve.
I got so excited while reading this book and learning Jessie's hacks - that I ordered a glucose monitor myself and wore it for two weeks. Every day, I did little experiments such as comparing my usual breakfast to a savory breakfast (which is one of the tips from the book). I integrated a veggie starter at the beginning of each meal (another hack - eat veggies first!) and checked what the glucose level looked like after.
I was amazed by the results - it WORKS.
I also felt differently: less cravings, less hunger between meals, more energy, better concentration.
I am passionate about physical and mental health too - this is why I wanted to share this experience. I can only recommend this book! You can find the link in the bio (https://amzn.to/47QWXl3) .
Read the book, try the hacks, and let me know how you feel!

I'm reading this very interesting book by - The Joy of Movement. I'm impressed how well she summarizes what I have been feeling for years while dreaming about teaching group fitness, and also the feeling I have every single time I have the chance to teach.
Coming together in movement does create this special magic!
