This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Namibian Annual Sports Awards. That’s 20 years of celebrating sporting excellence.

The awards were launched earlier today, and applications for nominations open this Friday. The awards are scheduled to take place on the 23rd of November in Windhoek.

COSAFA Awards 2023

A night of celebrating our stars and legends of the game.
It was the first ever for the COSAFA region, and what an honor it was to attend the inaugural event, one that will continue to be a highlight on the football calendar.
I got to rub shoulders with some of my favorites and met people I had only watched on TV.
Notable people are definitely William “Cool Cat” Shongwe, Rhulani Mokwena, the wise men of soccer Africa, and so many more; the list is endless.
There were so many pictures I missed taking that I guess the memories will live in my heart and head forever.

Nonetheless A beautiful night of celebrating football was certainly a dream come true for this girl.

Congratulations to African Stars on retaining their title as back-to-back champions.



The 2023–2024 Debmarine Premiership season was filled with so many surprises, twists, and turns, of course, not forgetting the disappointments.



This season also had a deja vu moment as we bid farewell to another big club with a rich history as Orlando Pirates were relegated, along with Kahirona and the newly promoted Okakarara Young Warriors.



To Debmarine, thank you for keeping football alive.
