Here at the Cook Islands Athletes Commission, our purpose is to serve and represent you — our nation’s athletes — in every way we can.

That’s why we are proud to stand in full support of CIMADO (Cook Islands Medical & Anti Doping Organization). Their work is fundamental to our mission.

By advocating for and partnering with CIMADO, we champion a sporting environment that is safe, healthy, and fair for every Cook Islands competitor. Clean sport and athlete welfare aren't just ideals — they are the foundation on which true sporting excellence is built.

We stand with CIMADO for the integrity of our sport and for the well-being of every athlete who represents our islands with pride.

A huge thank you to CIMADO for this incredible opportunity! 🙏

We’re proud to share that members of our Athletes Commission have completed training to become certified Doping Control Officers (DCOs) and Chaperones.

This training has been an eye-opening and empowering experience, strengthening our commitment to protecting clean sport from within the athlete community.

📣 Now, we want to invite ALL ATHLETES to join us!

CIMADO is hosting its final Clean Sport & Anti-Doping Education Session of the year, and we encourage every athlete to attend.

Cook Islands Athletes Commission (AC) keeping our athletes charged these Mini Games in Palau, literally with these neat power banks⚡️⚡️😎.
Any challenges obstacles or support Cook Islands representative athletes need leading up to an international comp, post comp, the athletes commission is your go to.

Calling our retired female Cook Islands athletes 📣

The New Zealand Olympic Committee is excited be seeking expressions of interest for a new women’s leadership training programme for retired female Pacific athletes.

The 2025 programme is open to retired female athletes from American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Tuvalu who have competed at a Pacific, Commonwealth, Paralympic or Olympic Games.

This exciting nine-month programme is designed to empower retired female athletes, helping them take the skills they learnt as athletes into management, leadership and governance roles across their communities.

Our current Athlete Commission members are undergoing a four year term since 2023.

Members can be reached by athletes representing the nation at an international level to share challenges, obstacles or support needed leading up to international competitions . The Athletes Commission is an independent body, here for the best intentions of our representative athletes💪

On the 26th of December, the Cook Islands Athletes Commission came together in Rarotonga for a 3 day conference.

We were able to accomplish and confirm in detail some great activities for the next few years.

A few of the main objectives achieved included
- Confirming a Terms of Reference
- Confirming the Cook Islands Athletes Commission Charter
- Adopting the IOC Athletes Rights & Responsibilities Declaration
- Strategic plan for 2025 to 2027
- Detailed activity plan for 2025

We are thankful to the International Olympic Committee for their assistance in helping us to come together.

Lastly, thank you to our commission members who were able to take the time during this family, festive season to come together for the benefit of all our Cook Islands Athletes.

The beach courts are now lit up! 🎊

CIAC is pleased to announce that we have installed lights at the Nikao Beach courts, available for all our sports codes to utilize for competitions and national team trainings.

This enhancement was made possible through funding from the International Olympic Committee Athlete Commission grant!
