We packed up and moved our operation to Ski Portillo for a few days! ⛷️🏔️

At Powder South, flexibility is about having the people, experience and operational depth to make the right call — and execute it seamlessly.

This week, conditions made flying impossible. So we changed the plan — without changing the experience.

Guides, pilots, drivers, reservations — every part of Powder South came together to rebuild the operation around the conditions. Routes were changed, transport reorganized, timing adjusted, reservations moved. Within hours, an entire week had been reworked from the ground up. 🤝🏼

Llevamos más de 23 días con la Ruta 60CH cerrada, impidiendo el acceso a Portillo.

La seguridad siempre debe ser la prioridad. Pero hoy el camino hacia Portillo lleva más de una semana despejado, con ambas pistas habilitadas y en condiciones seguras para circular.

Mientras la ruta permanece cerrada, se ven afectados más de 550 trabajadores, sus familias, proveedores y toda la actividad turística de la zona. En una temporada que dura apenas tres meses, ya hemos perdido prácticamente un tercio de la operación.

Abrir esta ruta no es sólo una decisión sobre Portillo; es una decisión que beneficia al turismo, al empleo y al prestigio de Chile como destino internacional.

We saw a glimpse of blue skies before it started snowing again ❄️ 466cms/15 feet in the last 7 days and only flakes in the forecast. ⁠
