🌍 International Human Rights Day Message from Our NGO

Today, as we commemorate International Human Rights Day, we reaffirm our commitment as an organization dedicated to defending dignity, justice, and equality for all.

Human rights are universal and indivisible. They belong to every human being—without exception. Yet around the world, countless individuals continue to face discrimination, violence, and injustice. As an NGO, we stand at the forefront of advocacy, support, and empowerment for those whose voices are too often unheard.

This day reminds us that our work is not only necessary but urgent. We remain dedicated to:
✔️ Promoting fairness and equal opportunity
✔️ Protecting vulnerable individuals and communities
✔️ Advocating for policies that uphold human dignity
✔️ Strengthening partnerships for lasting impact
✔️ Ensuring that no one is left behind

We call on our partners, supporters, and community members to join us as we continue to advance the ideals of freedom, justice, and peace. Together, we can create a world where human rights are lived realities—not just aspirations.

Human rights are everyone’s responsibility. Let us take action, speak up, and stand together.

🎉 A Day of Love, Laughter & Purpose at Orphelinat Divin! 🎉

Today, our NGO had the joy and privilege of celebrating the birthday of our President in a truly meaningful way — with the beautiful children of Orphelinat Divin, located in Mendong, Yaoundé. 💛

Rather than a personal celebration, our President chose to share this special day by giving back — and what a heartwarming day it was! The atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, dancing, singing, and pure joy.

🎁 We donated various essential items to support the children and their caregivers.
🍰 We also shared a special moment together as we cut the birthday cake, creating beautiful memories that will be cherished for a long time.

This celebration was not just about a birthday — it was about spreading love, kindness, and hope, and reminding these children that they are seen, loved, and valued.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible — our volunteers, team members, donors, and especially the amazing kids who filled the day with warmth and joy.

📞 Anyone wishing to donate, volunteer, or support our future events is most welcome.
📱 Contact us at 679 420 339.
Let’s continue to make a difference, one child at a time.

🌍✨ Empowering Women, Empowering Systems! ✨🌍

On July 3rd, 2025, GPFs vice president Mrs Lemwie Jennifer had the privilege of attending a powerful seminar on “Harnessing Women in Data Science to Unlock Operational Efficiency” at the Palais des Congrès, Yaoundé — and wow, what an experience!

The event featured brilliant minds who lit up the stage with inspiration and insight:

🎤 Yaah Gladys Viban set the tone, highlighting why Data Science is essential in this new era. Her message was clear: mastering data is no longer optional — it’s the gateway to innovation, growth, and global relevance.

💡 Amarachi Stanley-Duru dove deep into the transformative role of AI in business strategy. She emphasized how leveraging artificial intelligence isn't just about keeping up — it's about driving operational excellence across sectors.

As the tech world evolves, so must we. Here are just a few AI tools that were highlited that can help simplify workloads and boost productivity:

✅ Gemini – for smarter research and writing.
✅ SurveyMonkey – to streamline feedback and data collection.
✅ Grammarly – your AI-powered writing assistant.
✅ Otter.ai – for transcribing meetings and interviews with ease.
✅ Read.ai – for summarizing meetings and documents quickly.

This seminar wasn’t just a learning experience — it was a call to action: for women to take up space in data science, for businesses to embrace smart tech, and for all of us to be more intentional about operational growth.

Youth Week Celebration: theme for 2025
Youth maturity and responsibility, for the celebration of peace, security, economic growth and the democratic process.
Youth Week Celebration is a time dedicated to recognizing and empowering young people, providing them with opportunities to explore their talents, express themselves, and contribute to society. This celebration should not just be about fun activities; it should be a crucial platform for youth to discover their abilities, harness their potential, and set a foundation for their future success.

Every young person has unique gifts and abilities that, when nurtured, can lead to personal fulfillment and societal growth. However, many youths go through life without realizing their full potential due to lack of exposure, guidance, or opportunities. Youth Week should serves as an avenue to help young people identify their strengths through various programs such as skill-building workshops, mentorship sessions, and talent showcases.

Talent discovery is essential because:

1. It Builds Confidence – When young people recognize what they are good at, they develop self-esteem and a sense of purpose.

2. It Encourages Innovation – Discovering one’s abilities can lead to creativity, entrepreneurship, and solutions to societal problems.

3. It Shapes Career Paths – Understanding their skills helps youths make informed choices about education and future careers.

4. It Strengthens Communities – When young people channel their talents positively, they contribute to the progress of their communities and the nation at large.

Harnessing Talents for Personal and National Development

Talent alone is not enough; it must be nurtured and developed to reach its full potential. Youth Week highlights the importance of training, mentorship, and perseverance in harnessing one’s abilities. By engaging in activities such as leadership training, entrepreneurship programs, and creative arts exhibitions, young people can learn how to use their talents effectively.

To harness their potential, youths need:

Supportive Environments – Families, schools, and communities should encourage and provide resources for talent development.

Mentorship and Role Models – Learning from successful individuals in their fields of interest can inspire and guide young talents.

Opportunities for Practice and Exposure – Platforms such as competitions, internships, and talent shows help refine skills and build confidence.

Youth Week Celebration should be more than just an annual event. It should be a movement toward a future where young people recognize their worth and maximize their potential. By discovering and harnessing their talents, the youth can become innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers who will drive progress in society. Investing in young talent today ensures a better tomorrow for everyone.

International Development Week 2025: During the first full week of February, the International Development Week (IDW) is celebrated. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of global development and to showcase the ways in which people have helped eradicate poverty and move towards a more wealthy, inclusive and peaceful world. This tradition, which started more than 20 years ago, was exclusive to Canada and later gained global recognition.
This year 2025, the International Development Week is being observed from Sunday, February 2 to Saturday, February 8 as per the official website. The theme for this year is —
Building a better world together.
International Development Week (IDW) is a time to reflect on the importance of global cooperation, sustainable progress, and inclusive development. It is an opportunity to recognize the efforts of individuals, organizations, and governments working together to build a more equitable and sustainable world.
This week, we celebrate the achievements of international development initiatives in poverty reduction, education, healthcare, gender equality, and climate action. We also acknowledge the challenges that remain and renew our commitment to fostering partnerships that empower communities worldwide.
As we move forward, let us embrace innovation, collaboration, and compassion to create lasting change. Whether through volunteering, advocacy, or support for development programs, every action counts in building a better future for all.
Happy International Development Week!
