🌟 Honorée de représenter le CNPC ! 🌟

Le 17 juillet, j’ai eu l’honneur de représenter le Président du Comité National Paralympique Camerounais (CNPC) lors d’un séminaire percutant tenu à Yaoundé, organisé par Global Women Emancipation in Sports (GWES) sous le thème inspirant : « Le Leadership Féminin dans le Sport ».

Cet événement a réuni des voix passionnées plaidant pour une plus grande représentation des femmes dans les instances dirigeantes du sport au Cameroun et au-delà.

Les échanges ont porté sur :

✅️ La levée des barrières liées au genre dans la gouvernance sportive
✅️ L’autonomisation des athlètes féminines afin qu’elles prennent le leadership
✅️ La création d’opportunités inclusives pour les femmes à tous les niveaux de l’industrie sportive

📢 Un appel fort au changement !

La Ministre de la Promotion de la Femme et de la Famille, Professeure Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa, a lancé un vibrant appel à l’action le 17 juillet, alors qu’elle présidait ce séminaire de sensibilisation sur le leadership féminin dans le sport à Yaoundé.

✅️ Le développement de réseaux de mentorat et de soutien pour les futures leaders sportives

Cette rencontre a été un puissant signal : il est temps que les femmes prennent leur place légitime, non seulement sur le terrain, mais aussi autour de la table de prise de décisions.

On July 17th, I had the honour of representing the President of the Cameroon National Paralympic Committee (CNPC) at a powerful seminar held in Yaoundé, organized by Global Women Emancipation in Sports (GWES) under the inspiring theme: “Women’s Leadership in Sports.”

The event brought together passionate voices advocating for greater representation of women in sports leadership across Cameroon and beyond.

The discussions centered around:

✅️Breaking gender barriers in sports governance

✅️Empowering women athletes to lead

Creating inclusive opportunities for women at all levels in the sport industry.

📢 A Strong Call for Change!

The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Professor Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa, made a compelling call to action on July 17, as she presided over an awareness seminar on women’s leadership in sports held in Yaoundé.

This powerful gathering served as a call to action: it’s time for women to take their rightful place not only on the field, but also at the decision-making table.

🏋️‍♂️ La Fédération camerounaise des sports pour personnes handicapées physiques a organisé une compétition de para-haltérophilie couronnée de succès hier à Yaoundé

Yaoundé, Cameroun, le 16 mai 2025, la capitale a été le théâtre d'une remarquable démonstration de force et de détermination : une trentaine d'athlètes, hommes et femmes, ont participé à une compétition de para-haltérophilie organisée à la mairie de Yaoundé 4. Cet événement a marqué une étape importante dans la promotion de l'inclusion et la mise en valeur des prouesses des athlètes en situation de handicap au Cameroun.

Lieu : Mairie de Yaoundé 4

Participants : Une trentaine d'athlètes se sont affrontés dans différentes catégories de poids, faisant preuve d'un talent et d'un esprit sportif exceptionnels.

Organisateurs : Fédération camerounaise des sports pour personnes handicapées physiques (FCASDEP)

🌟 Performances remarquables

Manga Mballa : Haltérophile paralympique chevronné et athlète masculin le plus remarquable de l’événement, Manga a soulevé 150 kg dans sa catégorie. Manga a continué d’inspirer par son dévouement et ses performances, ayant déjà participé à de nombreuses compétitions internationales.

Mengue Thamar Gisèle : Athlète féminine la plus remarquable de l’événement, Mengue a soulevé 80 kg dans sa catégorie. Thamar a continué d’inspirer par son dévouement et ses performances, ayant déjà participé à de nombreuses compétitions internationales.

🤝 La compétition a reçu les félicitations du président de la FECASDEP, Hervé Guy Ngoyo, qui a exprimé son engagement à soutenir les athlètes en situation de handicap. Selon le président de la FECASDEP, des plans sont en cours pour améliorer les performances individuelles des athlètes et fournir de meilleures ressources afin de garantir une préparation optimale aux futures compétitions internationales.

Participants: Approximately 30 athletes competed across various weight categories, demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship.

🤝 The competition received commendations from the President of (FECASDEP) Herve Guy Ngoyo which he expressed his commitment to supporting athletes with disabilities. According to the President of FECASDEP, Plans are underway to enhance athletes personal performances and provide better resources to ensure Cameroon’s athletes are well-prepared for future international competitions.
