Early Spring Festival Ride 🐎 马年快乐!

On the eve of Chinese New Year, the group headed out for a ride to start the festive season.

Temperatures were lower than expected and the wind was high, but riders battled up and over JietaiSi and onto Tanwanglu.

Hot coffee and cupcakes helped fuel the climbing and the last push back home.

Wishing everyone a very happy new year of the horse!

Miaofengshan Chanfang 🌸🌸🌸 妙峰山禅房 Group Ride - Pics

There was a strong threat of rain this past weekend in Beijing but that didn't stop a hardy group of Beijing West riders heading into the mountains.

The dark grey and brooding clouds hung over the landscape but the roads stayed dry as we headed to Miaofengshan backroad, one of the group's favourite routes.

Cherry blossoms were blooming but beginning to fall, providing beautiful views once again on this classic route.

BRM 200 Challenge 耀骑北京骑行挑战
Congratulations to all Beijing West riders who completed both the 200km and 100km BRM distances this past weekend.

It was an early start for many riders as they set off into the mountains of south-west Beijing. For those doing the 100km event, they had 1,200m of elevation gain to contend with. For the 200km event riders, it was 2,400m!

The spring weather was wonderful though which made for almost perfect riding conditions. The team was represented in force and the camaraderie was fantastic on the day. Whether competing or just completing there were smiles all around.
