Scratch resistance is one of the most demanded requirements for automotive interior parts.
Polyolefins such as polypropylene (PP), EPDM-modified PP, Polypropylene talc compounds, Thermoplastic olefins (TPOs), and thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) are increasingly used in automotive applications because they have advantages in recyclability, lightweight, and low cost compared to engineering plastics.
But, these materials are not very scratch-resistant, in order to achieve low friction demands, polyolefin producers need to adjust the formula of their products to give answers to processability, durability, and resistance to scratch requirements.
