🏉 Beijing Family Footy Day

Last weekend, the Beijing Cricket Club hosted a fantastic afternoon bringing together families, juniors, players, and members of the international community through Australian Rules Football.

One of the most special parts of the day was seeing such a diverse mix of backgrounds and ages all enjoying the sport together. Kids, parents, local Chinese participants, and international community members all stepped onto the field, highlighting how football can create friendships and shared experiences far beyond competition.

As AFL continues to grow across China, events like this are an important reminder that sport is one of the strongest ways to bring communities together.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success in .

A fantastic session was had with AFL China and the amazing students at and Chongqing No.7 School, introducing AFL Auskick to a new group of students.

Great energy, strong engagement, and a real willingness from the students to step in, try something new, and learn quickly. From basic skills through to small-sided games, the progression across the session was clear to see.

More importantly, it’s another step forward in building meaningful connections through sport, creating opportunities for students to engage, grow in confidence, and be part of something different.

This is how the game grows in
