What did people actually ask us about the Solar Awning at CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf? ☀️🚐

Not just “How much power does it make?”

The most common questions were much more practical:

• Can the solar fabric be installed on a Thule awning?
• Can it use Thule or Fiamma mounting brackets?
• What warranty does it come with?
• What electrical connectors and cable positions are supplied?

These are exactly the kinds of questions we want to answer — because choosing an RV awning isn’t only about the product itself. Compatibility, installation, wiring and long-term support matter just as much.

The 65th CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf has come to an end — and what an experience it was for Awnlux.

This year, we had the opportunity to showcase our latest RV awning solutions across two booths, from our Solar Awning and smart control systems to our broader RV awning lineup.

More importantly, we met RV owners, dealers, manufacturers, partners and media from around the world, heard real feedback, exchanged ideas, and saw once again how quickly the RV industry is moving toward smarter and more energy-independent outdoor living.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our booths, spoke with our team, tested our products, shared feedback, or simply stopped by to say hello.

And thank you to the CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf team for organizing another unforgettable event.

We’re already looking forward to meeting everyone again at the 66th CARAVAN SALON in 2027.

How tough is the solar panel on our Solar Awning? ☀️🔨🚗✂️

We decided to put it through a destructive test.

🔨 Hit with a heavy hammer
🚗 Driven over by a vehicle
✂️ Cut with scissors

Before the test, the panel was producing 52.9W.
After all that damage, it was still producing 44W.

That’s one of the advantages of the flexible CIGS solar technology used in the Awnlux Solar Awning — even when the panel is physically damaged, it can continue generating power.

Of course, we don’t recommend treating your solar awning like this in real life. 😄
This test is simply to show how resilient the technology can be.

Shade when you need it. Solar power when you want it.
