Did you know that the rascacio (Scorpaena porcus) is the most poisonous fish of the Cuban reef?
Its fins have very dangerous spines, which inject a toxin that can be fatal to humans.
But the most dangerous for us is its appearance, since it serves as camouflage in corals and that prevents us from seeing it when diving.
Luckily, he prefers to be still during the day since at night he hunts crustaceans, molluscs and glycoids, and does not attack unless disturbed. Pretty cute, right?
